Well, after working through some initial issues I was able to finally get the HHCR News app for Windows Phone published in the Market Place. You can get it here. I also just submitted an update to fix some additional issues so it should be available in a few days. If you have a Windows Phone, go download it now and support the work of HHCR. If you don’t have a Windows Phone, what are you waiting for?!

So, here we go. A “coming soon” preview of my first app for WP7. A little bit of background. I have the privilege of being married to a wonderful women, Crystal, who is the daughter of two awesome people, Glenn and Nancy, who are the founders of a great organization known as Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch in the Philippines. HHCR is dedicated to the rehabilitation and defense of street children in the Philippines. Happy Horizons monitors and cares for hundreds of street children, many of whom have been abandoned or orphaned by civil war, abused or rejected by dysfunctional and poverty-stricken families, and further traumatized by the indifference of the societies in which they live.
With that said, my first WP7 app his going to be a simple news reader that will display the latest news from HHCR. It will be free, ad supported app, with the proceeds being donated directly to HHCR. I’m hoping to have it submitted to the marketplace within a few weeks.
